Position Overview:

As an Associate Attorney, you will handle a variety of cases in both personal injury and family law. You will be responsible for managing your caseload, representing clients in court, conducting legal research, and preparing legal documents. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation skills, a passion for helping clients, and a solid understanding of personal injury and family law. This is an in person position in our Houston Office. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of personal injury and family law cases from inception to resolution.
• Represent clients in court hearings, trials, mediations, and depositions.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other parties involved in cases.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients, explaining their rights and options.
• Prepare for and conduct depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Negotiate settlements and work to resolve cases in the best interest of clients.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure comprehensive case management.
• Stay current with changes in laws and regulations relevant to personal injury and family law.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the state bar.
• Some experience in personal injury and/or family law.
• Strong litigation and trial advocacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to client service.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
• Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) are a plus.

• Prior experience as an intake specialist, legal assistant, or in a customer service role within a law firm is preferred.

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software.

This is an in person position in our Houston Office. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing updates and answering questions about their case.
• Collect and organize necessary documentation, including medical records, police reports, and other relevant evidence.
• Monitor and track case progress, ensuring all deadlines are met and files are maintained.
• Assist attorneys with case preparation, including drafting correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Schedule and coordinate appointments, such as medical evaluations, and court appearances.
• Communicate with insurance adjusters, medical providers, and other parties to gather information and negotiate claims.
• Prepare settlement demands and assist in negotiating settlements.
• Keep detailed records of client interactions, case developments, and important dates.
• Ensure clients receive appropriate medical treatment and follow up on medical bills and liens.
• Handle administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and updating the case management system.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 years of experience as a case manager, legal assistant, or paralegal in a personal injury law firm.
• Strong understanding of personal injury law, claims process, and litigation procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

This is an in person position in our Houston Office. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist attorneys with all phases of personal injury litigation, from case inception through settlement or trial.
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and gather relevant case law and statutes.
• Organize, review, and summarize medical records, bills, and other relevant documents.
• Prepare and respond to discovery requests, including interrogatories, requests for production, and subpoenas.
• Schedule and coordinate depositions, hearings, and other court proceedings.
• Manage case files and ensure that all necessary documentation is obtained and organized.
• Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
• Maintain communication with clients to provide updates on case status and address any questions or concerns.
• Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining the case management system.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in personal injury law.
• Paralegal certification or degree in paralegal studies is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of personal injury law, court rules, and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
