Personal Injury Case Manager

Position Overview:

The Law Office of Cherika Edwards is seeking an experienced Case Manager  with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our growing team in our Houston office. 

We are a client-focused law firm dedicated to helping families navigate difficult situations with professionalism, strategy, and care. We are looking for a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented case manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment.


This is an in-person position in our Houston Office. Hybrid will be offered after probationary period.


60-day Probationary Period Requires 100% attendance


Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Coordinate medical treatment & build relationships with providers
  • Request and organize medical records, bills, and supporting documents  
  • Manage case files and maintain organization in the firm’s case management system
  • Communicate with clients regarding case status and required documents
  • Open claims and communicate with insurance adjusters 
  • Help prepare demand packages and settlement documentation 
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of case activity
  • Coordinate settlement disbursements and lien resolutions 
  • Provide consistent client updates and white-glove customer service 
  • Be the go-to person for our PI clients from sign-up through settlement  
  • Maintain organized digital and physical case files
  • Assist with collecting documents and preparing case files for trial


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a case manager.
  • Strong understanding of personal injury, and litigation procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to client interactions.
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) are a plus.

Dallas Family Law Attorney (2–5 Years Experience)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced family law attorney to assist with managing family law cases for our Dallas & Tarrant County Cases.  We are looking for a driven, strategic, and courtroom-confident Family Law Attorney to join our team.

This is a remote position in our Dallas Office. 


60-day Probationary Period Requires 100% attendance


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a family law docket from intake through final disposition
  • Draft and argue Temporary Orders
  • Prepare for and attend mediations
  • Conduct discovery (requests, responses, objections, motions to compel)
  • Take and defend depositions 
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and trial briefs
  • Prepare cases for trial and first-chair or second-chair hearings
  • Communicate regularly with clients regarding case strategy and expectations
  • Negotiate settlements when appropriate
  • Collaborate with paralegals and legal assistants to ensure efficient case management
  • Maintain accurate billing and case documentation
  • Uphold firm systems, policies, and performance standards
  • Attend firm events and represent firm at other events


Qualifications:

  • Active Texas Bar license in good standing
  • 2–5 years of family law litigation experience
  • Experience handling contested hearings
  • Strong legal research and writing skills
  • Familiarity with Texas Family Code and local rules
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
  • Strong courtroom presence and professional demeanor
  • High level of accountability and time management
  • Client-centered communication skills
  • Experience with case management software (preferred but not required)
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) are a plus.

What We Offer:

  • Salary Range: $120,00-$150,000 DOE
  • Performance bonuses available based on KPIs and case management efficiency
